“We Are One” Project Also Dedicated to Teachers

I’m very happy to have collaborated with Yangcen Mimarciren, Salima Celeri and Cristiane Rhein and completed this beautiful project of Khaita Joyful Dances & Yoga dedicated to the teachers of the schools of the Amiata area (near Merigar) yesterday.

Since 2019, each year ASIA  ETS and Merigar organize a number of activities such as Kumar Kumari Yantra Yoga, Khaita Joyful Dances, Mindfulness etc., for children in Italian schools, and we have received a lot of appreciation from school staff for the beneficial impact these activities have made on children.

This year’s project is called “We are One” and, for the first time, some hours of this project were also dedicated to the teachers, since we are One and because the teachers also need to learn some methods of relaxation, how to release stress and just have some fun.

Khaita was created by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 2011 (it means “Harmony in Space,” in Tibetan “Kha” – space, “Ta” – melody/harmony). These Joyful Dances help to discover the harmony of body, energy and mind, also creating harmony with each other and the environment. They improve mood, bring joy to daily activities, foster bonds with others and create a relationship of sharing and mutual trust.

There were 17 school teachers in total involved in this project and we were really happy to see their enthusiasm and interest to learn the new dances. It was a great success!

I would like to thank ASIA ETS for making it possible for the project to take place this year, by organizing it and proposing it to the Italian Buddhist Union, in collaboration with Merigar. I would also like to sincerely thank Giulia Yangcen Mimaciren and Salima Celeri for having led the sessions of Khaita (it was a pleasure to assist you), and to Christiane Rhein and Adriana Dal Borgo for their support.
